Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 27 August 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

QRI.Today (the "Qualitative Research Institute" or the "Service") is operated by QRI.Today ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you enter into a binding agreement with QRI.Today on these Terms & Conditions.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You confirm that you have legal capacity to enter this agreement, and where you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.

3. The Service

We provide online qualitative-research training, assessment and digitally verifiable certificates across progressive levels and single-module offerings. Features, curriculum and pricing may evolve over time.

4. Accounts and credentials

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam or abuse.
  • Infringe any intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
  • Upload malware or attempt to probe, scan, scrape or circumvent security or technical limits of the Service.
  • Share your account, resell access, or redistribute course materials or certificates.
  • Submit fraudulent assessment work or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including all software, course content, assessments, rubrics, documentation and branding, is owned by QRI.Today or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service and the materials included in the plan you purchase, for your personal educational use. You must not reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the materials.

7. User content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (submissions, portfolio evidence, reflections). You grant us a limited, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce and process that content solely to operate the Service, assess your work and issue certificates. You represent that you have the rights to submit your content.

8. Payments, subscriptions and tax

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns. Prices are shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes. Payment terms, billing frequency, invoices, tax and refunds are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms.

9. Refunds

See our Refund Policy. Refund handling is provided by Paddle as our Merchant of Record.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance, update features or discontinue non-essential functionality with reasonable notice.

11. Certification decisions

Certificates are issued only after all learning, assessment and verification requirements are met. We may withhold, revoke or refuse to issue a certificate where we have reasonable grounds to believe the requirements were not met or that submitted work was not authentic.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if:

  • You materially breach these Terms;
  • Payment is not received or is reversed;
  • Your account presents a security, fraud or safety risk; or
  • You repeatedly or seriously violate our policies.

On termination, your right to access the Service ends. Sections that by their nature survive termination will continue in effect.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QRI.Today will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence).

15. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold QRI.Today harmless from claims and losses arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice via the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you locally.
